Self-taught, since childhood Mac always enjoyed painting . He has been commisioned to paint murals for Restaurants & private homes & exhibited widely in England & France where he has lived since 2004.
Gallery owner & Picture Framer in England , Mac has always run Painting courses for Adults & Children & continued to do so in France.
Cityscapes have always intrigued him, especially French architecture with ornate facades, the faded beauty of old Restaurants & Cafés, reflections in windows & the patterns created by the lights of the City at night.
He works in oil on canvas in order to create interesting & subtle effects.
Mac exhibited most notably with the Royal Institute of British Watercolourists at the Mall Galleries London 2001 & 2002 , was commissioned to paint the front cover for Hamptons International French Guide 2002 & one of Artists & Illustrators top fifty shortlisted Artists for Artist of the year 2014 at the Mall Galleries London in 2015.
In France he was Artist in residence at the "Gallery Thuillier", Paris, 2005, Exhibited with the Beaux- Arts de Béziers 2006 "Galerie Mercure"
